Rose of Jericho
By Royi Chen
The story of the life, death, and resurrection of a simple knight who was not satisfied merely with true love.
A paraphrase on medieval knight stories, a comic play about destiny, honor, life, and death. It is the story of Gvenelon, a young knight who falls in love with Seremonda, the woman sent to him by destiny. But instead of living with her in happiness he decides to perform a heroic act, to be worthy of her. He therefore takes off on a journey to Jerusalem to bring her the Rose of Jericho. He promises to return in seven years. Seven years pass, then seven more, and more… He has many adventures, and in the end he understands that he lost the most important thing in his life. When he finally returns, life is already over.
