Murder in the Goats’ Island
By Hugo Betti
Three lonely women, a mother, a daughter, and a sister-in-law, live at the edge of a remote village in Sicily. The only man who comes to their house is Eduardo, the driver who delivers the food. Unexpectedly, a stranger, Angelo, arrives and claims that he used to be in captivity with the father of the family (father, husband, brother) and that his last wish had been that Angelo help his daughter and take his place in the family. In fact, Angelo is a charming crook who captures the hearts of the three women. When Angelo is satisfied that he controls them, it turns out that the women refuse to behave as a herd and to share him – so they murder him.
