The Double Bass

This is the monolog of an anonymous man who plays the sixth double bass in an orchestra. He makes naïve attempts to understand why his personal and professional life has failed. He is the “little man,” but his anger, his dreams, and his desires are huge.

Winner of the first prize of the Teatronetto Festival in 2001.
The show was first presented at the Teatronetto Festival under the auspices of the Gesher theater. Since then it has run in Tel Aviv and numerous other stages across Israel in Russian and in Hebrew. It was also presented within the framework of international festivals.
